(Peoria) Illinois Valley Center for Plastic Surgery (IVCPS) has merged with Mid Illini Surgical Associates (MISA) to form one of the most comprehensive surgical teams in Central Illinois. The merger combines the talents of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, James M. Sheridan, M.D. with the experienced surgical team at MISA. Although the two practices are merging, IVCPS will remain a separate business unit of MISA.

The merger between the two practices is sure to create a stronger, more comprehensive surgical team offering exceptional surgical care."

The Combined Team

In addition to Dr. Sheridan, the team includes the experienced surgeons at MISA: Paul W. Sutherland, M.D. – general & thoracic surgery; Jeffrey L. Williamson, M.D. – general & colon-rectal surgery; W. Scott Reid, D.O. – general & vascular surgery; Brian W. Heywood. M.D. – general & vascular surgery; Mary Ahn, M.D. – breast surgery; and Jayaraj Salimath, D.O., B.S.N. – minimally invasive & bariatric surgery.

More Specialized Surgical Services

Together, the two practices will offer a variety of surgical specialties including: vascular, endovascular, laparoscopic, colo-rectal, bariatric and endocrine surgeries, along with ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies. IVCPS' specialties include: cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring surgery such as liposuction, comprehensive cosmetic facial surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Convenient Access to Care

MISA's main office is located in Peoria at 120 N.E. Glen Oak Avenue in Suite 407, and IVCPS will continue to operate at Proctor's Professional Building (5401 N. Knoxville Avenue), Entrance 1, Suite 103. The two practices will move to new offices in the Methodist Atrium in early November.
